Surviving Fascism

No one is coming to save us, we have to become our own heros.

Sac Queer Church is rallying local organizations and activist to discuss how we can move as a community to protect one another. We are facing our freedoms being removed, and we can not waste time being divided on matters. If the trans community is under attack, we all are. If Black and Brown people are losing their freedom, then we are all. This is the time to unify our voices and show our strength in numbers. We can still turn this back towards progress, but it will require all of us participating.

Mystical Painting

Join us at Sac Queer Church for our artsy-themed brunch service!

There will be three painting session blocks available to take a class on abstract painting. Learn how paint can be used as a tool to heal what words can’t express with Shann Kathleen. She has been an artist working in art therapy for 10+ years, utilizing creativity to transmute trauma into beauty.

We will also be offering oracle readings with Hale Graves. Divination is a great tool for healing, as well as diving deeper into your inner self, and finding answers you didn’t even know were hiding.

Entertainment will be provided by local artists (TBA). Come enjoy this unique experience while building relationships with fellow queers!

Indigenous Peoples Celebration

Sac Queer Church acknowledges Sacramento is the land of the Nisenan and Miwok tribes, and we wish to honor that. So instead of “Thanksgiving” we are hosting an Indigenous Peoples Celebration.

Additionally, we know this day can be difficult for people. LGBTQIA+ individuals often lack connections with their families. So please, join our family and enjoy food, community, and learning about Indigenous history.
